Have you ever flown on an airplane and hit turbulence? The pilot comes across the intercom and says, "Flight attendants, take your seats and fasten your seat belts." Once the buckle your seatbelts sign illuminates the overhead, everyone remains seated. Amid the turbulence, the pilot has complete control of the plane. There is absolutely nothing you can do but sit in your seat and try to keep your stomach from rising through your esophagus. If your loved one is sitting next to you, you may grip their hand tightly and brace yourself for the worse. In your mind, you wonder if this plane ride will ever end. Finally, the pilot gets back on the intercom and says, "Ladies and gentlemen, as we start our descent, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seatbelt is fastened as we prepare for landing." You hear the pilot say welcome to your destination! The pilot landed the plane gracefully, and every passenger arrived safely.
Life is just like a plane flying through turbulence. You start off smooth sailing, and out of nowhere, sickness, death, debt, job loss, or a coronavirus pandemic happen all at once. You try to keep from losing your mind. You hear the voice of your Spiritual Pilot, God, tell you to sit back and let Him control the situation. When the turbulence of life catches you off guard, your Spiritual Pilot will bring you through your storm stronger and wiser.
Meet Ashley, a woman of God who experienced turbulence but made it through! As Ashley shares her mountains and valleys of life, be inspired by authentic and transparent stories of how God carried her through turbulences, even when she could not see a way out. When God, her pilot, moved, she moved right along with Him and landed on a safe landing pad.
