Composed in 1899 by Scott Joplin this charming ragtime medley was his first published one preceding Maple Leaf Rag by 6 months. Before this he had composed a few marches and a waltz and though this is a rag by title it resembles a cakewalk closer and draws heavily on folk tunes.
