Luna is a special wild turkey who has always been able to run faster and fly farther than her brothers and sisters. She has never met anyone outside of Beacon Hill where she lives—until the day a strange bird comes to the hill, stays a while, and then moves on. Soon after, Luna and her sisters are ready to fill their nests with eggs.
To care for her eggs, Luna must sleep on the ground in her nest at night instead of in the trees, placing her life in danger.
