Organic Fruits, Organic Vegetables, Organic Grains, Etc., are in great demand in developing countries like USA, Germany, France, China and others. Whereas, Organic Sericulture is in practice in China from 20th Century and nearly 75% of Global bivoltine silk is produced by organic methods. However, in India, Thailand, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Romania, Bulgaria and Brazil have not adopted Organic Sericulture methods. It has been dire necessity in these countries to switch over to Organic Sericulture from Economic and Ecological points of view. Organic Sericulture has immense potential in producing qualitative bivoltine silk. Bivoltine silk productivity will help Seri culturists to improve the economic conditions. Bivoltine crop calendar has been depicted in a very simple way and more number of depictions in the form of Photographs. This will enable the farmers to understand the methods of practicing cost effective technologies. Now a days Tamilnadu in India farmers are adopting Organic Sericulture methods. More and more women Seri culturists are involving in this practice. They have been able to produce Good quality of bivoltine Cocoon of about 60 to 65 kg s per 100 DFLs. Observing the profitability, economic viability, preservations of pollution free eco system, other favorable factors, It is high time that, Silk producing countries like, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Brazil, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, etc., have to switch over to Organic Sericulture practices. Literature on Organic Sericulture is scarce. This book has been a sincere effort to augment the deficiency of availability of Literature on Organic Sericulture. This enables Farmers all over the world to practice Organic Sericulture. It also enables scientists to take up further studies to improve the quality and quantity of bivoltine silk production in the world.
