Dr. Haydel’s book is a compilation of his research and experiences with his mentees whom he has serviced over a period of fifty years. He has explored the sense of masculinity from youth to adulthood and what his mentees have believed added to their reflections of reaching maturity. He offers first person descriptions of various aspects of life that his mentees believe have formed their personalities. This represents almost a peek into the minds of these men as they personally explore what maleness represents in their activities and careers. Dr. Haydel announces in his final, advisory remarks to his mentees who are a part of this changing world: They should remember to welcome genuine challenges for social behavior and opportunities based on a sense of morality and awareness of the Supreme Being.
