Beschreibung

Ivy Carlton arrived in New York City full of excitement, looking forward to pursuing her dreams since age twelve of becoming a financial adviser in Manhattan. She smiled to herself as she walked swiftly through the crowded airport, thinking of what she had been taught by her dad, James Carlton Jr.: stay mentally strong throughout all your challengers in life, and you will be a success.

Now her grandmother Mattie Carlton, better known as Grams, saw life a little different. She said mental shit was okay, but sometimes kicking ass would be a better solution in some cases.

Ivy never dreamed she would have as many mountains to climb as she did in the following months. She endured stress, heartbreak, and pain. Not only being rejected time after time., which applied to her career, she also lost the love and respect of the man in her life, Jordan Pierre because of a phone call that was never clear from a young man Jordan had spoken with on the phone about Ivy. There was also drama she had to contend with, such as her college friends’ sorted issue: Rayleen Fleming was caught by her mother having sex in her mother’s bed with her man. Time after time, there were problems for Ivy. Somehow, she survived by her father’s teachings. That is why I can say, tip her; she deserved it.
