In her debut poetry book, The Collective A Soulful Mind, Helen explores loss, grief, heartbreak, and pain in its rawest form. She shares with her readers a first hand look into living with a chronic physical and mental illness. She's vulnerable and honest. Helen doesn't shy away from the often silenced nature and stigma surrounding grief, death, and mental health. She walks her readers through the last decade of her life, sharing her most intimate thoughts and desires. The reader might feel as if Helen is speaking directly to them. She is continuously inspired by the resiliency and beauty of nature, which the reader will quickly pick up on. Although her writing style tends to stay on the heavier side of life, Helen closes her book by encouraging her readers to release limiting beliefs, choose themselves, and pursue what makes them truly happy.
