Beschreibung
Fourth Grade Began with Betrayal is a realistic story that hugs a nine year old girl through the ups and downs of friendship, achievement, and deciding who she wants to be. Sarah wants to be a star! She's very smart, honest, and talented. Why should she have to practice or work hard when it all comes naturally? But more than anything, Sarah wants to fit in, to really belong. Does that mean she has to do what her friend wants, no matter what? Can she be friends with kids that are so different from her - a tomboy and a girl that doesn't speak English?Readers will find memorable friends in the characters of this story. It is written in short chapters and features advanced vocabulary. The kid-friendly glossary at the end of the book is helpful in learning useful words from the story. Teachers will find free resources on the author's web site (leahanesta.com) - an advanced vocabulary list in order of appearance, and great discussion questions to really get their students thinking.
