Beschreibung

Our Dance Through Life (Vol 2) is a unique blend of poetry that captures the communities' thoughts, feelings and experiences over lockdown in verse. After Author Gurmeet Dhanjal appeared as a guest on NuRadio to discuss her experience of lockdown and her role as a writer, she inspired listeners to channel their experiences through poetry and take part in this inspirational collection of poems.

This book is not only a reflection of the power of communities uniting during times of uncertainty, despair, loss and great change, but it's a book of upliftment, inspiration and empowerment. Through the eclectic mix of poetry, you will see life through the eyes of everyday people experiencing lockdown. Their poems will take you on a journey of their joys and losses, triumphs and challenges.

Gurmeet Dhanjal, through her own poetry, explores themes such as womanhood, gender stereotypes, relationships, family and her Indian heritage and culture. Family plays a huge role in this collection as her very own 7-year-old granddaughter Aria Dhanjal, who wrote her first poem at 6 years old, is featured in the book. Writing from her raw perspective, Aria gives us a personal and sometimes, humorous insight into her lockdown experience including homeschooling, loneliness, nature and the importance of friendship.
