Here are three new stories in the Casus series. Each is about love and loss... and liberation. Dnouement is Peter's frank account of his personal trajectory after the death of Alice, in Paris in 1989. Although in a haze of grief, he begins a long, painful and yet determined search for answers, not only about what happened to her, but ultimately about the meaning of his own life. In Sicily we join Gerald and a small, eclectic group of middle-aged compatriots on a week-long tour around the rugged and romantic Island. Is this just therapy after Bridget unexpectedly abandoned him, or is it possibly a journey of self-discovery? Eveleen is struggling to sleep. Her relationships all seem to have gone wrong. Is it her fault? What can she do about it? She decides to see Carol, a consulting psychotherapist. They begin as strangers. Will anything change?
