Beschreibung

In the last ten years, DNA has intrigued almost everyone’s curiosity. People want to know their heritage – their ethnic background. Sandra is no different only she has wanted to know the answer to this question ever since she was eight years old. As Sandra played with her siblings, her mother said quite bluntly, “He’s not your father.”

That phrase lingered in Sandra’s mind throughout her life. What was the motive behind it? Every time she asked her mother questions about her real father, she was shut down. Her mother clammed up and said no more.

Sandra began actively searching for her biological father in 1995. She shares her ups and downs, her deep valleys and highest of hills with the reader. In 2007, when she finally had her DNA done, a whole new world opened up to her.

Although Sandra had trouble understanding all the markers, the cm, and so much more, she stumbled across a system to organize her research to find her relatives. That led her to find her father. It may have been an unconventional way, but it was Sandra’s way leading to the moment of “Got Ya.”

It took Sandra over fifty years, stacks of letter writing, plus tons of filling out forms, but it worked for her. Finally, she had peace knowing the truth behind all the hidden secrets of her life.
