Finding peace, relaxation and solitude at the beach, is where the Lord gave Widow by the water its name. With a retreat in mind at one of the nearby beaches, it was a prayer that widows would gather, pray at the water and cast all their cares unto God. For the loss of a spouse or any loved one can be extremely heavy and monumental. When the pandemic occurred, it created a setback in plans, but opened the door for the devotional. One of my sorority sisters and Christian author friends encouraged me to begin writing. Over the years, many thoughts and ideas had been concealed, resurfaced and rising. At this point, I began writing and listening to the Lord speak, offering refreshing words to the widow in particular. However, anyone may benefit from these words that are shared from the heart.
