Beschreibung
Georgios Basioudis, Konstantios Delikostantis, Reinhard Flogaus, Hans-Peter Großhans, Christof Landmesser, Konstantinos Nikolakopoulos, Radu Constantin Miron, Georgios Vlantis. [The Image of Christ in Orthodox and Protestant Spirituality. XVIth Meeting in the Bilateral Theological Dialogue between the Evangelical Church in Germany and the Ecumenical Patriarchate] For the first time after more than five decades of bilateral dialogue between Orthodox and Protestant Churches both sides are dealing with the role and the understanding of images in the spiritual life of both churches. The contributions contained in this volume do not only ask for the biblical foundations and the liturgical contexts of the images but also face the challenge to explain the meaning of Christian images to the secular world.
