Becauseof its importance for modern microelectronics specialemphasis is placed on the electronic properties ofsemiconductorinterfaces and heterostructures. Experimentaltopics covering the basics of ultrahigh-vacuum technology,electron optics, surface spectroscopies and electricalinterface characterization techniques are presented in theform of separate panels.
