Qi Jiguang was a famous anti-Japanese general, an outstanding militarist, a calligrapher, a poet and a national hero in the Ming Dynasty. He fought against Japanese pirates on the southeast coast for more than ten years and wiped out the Japanese invasion that had ravaged the coast for many years, ensuring the safety of the lives and property of the coastal people. Later, he fought against the Mongol tribes in the north for more than ten years, ensuring the security of the northern territory and promoting the peaceful development of the Mongolian and Han ethnic groups. He wrote famous military books such as the Ji Xiao Xin Shu in 18 volumes and Real Discipline Training in 14 volumes, as well as the Zhi Zhi Tang Ji, memorials and suggestions submitted to the royal in different historical periods.
