In the past decades years, the rapid development of China''s economy was at the cost of environmental degradation. In the international discussion on global warming and the making and execution of environmental protection policies, more and more attentions are paid to China: any emission, no matter where it is from, shall contribute to global warming. So, any agreement of post-Kyoto age without China and USA shall not reduce threat to the earth and humans caused by recent development.Environmental Management of China and German: Comparative Perspective is started by Professor Thomas Heberer and Dieter Grone from University of Duisburg-Essen, and completed by the cooperation with the Research Center of Comparative Politics and Economy of Central Compiler Bureau (especially, the cooperation and support of Professor Yu Keping, Professor He Zengke and Professor Li Huibin).
