A causa di notevoli lacune documentarie, la pestilenza che colpì Torino tra il 1629 e il 1639 è un evento di cui ancora oggi si hanno notizie frammentarie, parziali e generiche. L’edizione del trattatello di Cesare Mocca, medico di camera di Carlo Emanuele I di Savoia, oltre a compensare almeno in parte tale vuoto, induce a riformulare criticamente alcune nozioni tràdite circa la trattatistica medica dell’epoca e la sua lingua.-----Because of the lack of documents, our knowledge of the plague that struck Turin between 1629 and 1639 still remains too fragmentary, partial and generic. The edition of the short treatise by Cesare Mocca, royal physician to Charles Emmanuel I of Savoy, not only partially fills this gap but also leads to a critical reformulation of the notions we received about the medical treatises of that time, and on their language.
