Wilde's second book of fairy tales, "A House of Pomegranates", is intended for reading to children but has a message for adults, too. However, Wilde once said that this collection was "intended neither for the British child nor the British public."
"A House of Pomegranates" was published as a second collection for "The Happy Prince and Other Tales" (1888) and it includes the clever but enchanting parody
The Fisherman and His Soul.
