Sports have been on the world map from time immemorial. The importance and recognition, which sports have received from government, press and public indicates that sports are no more taken up for mere recreation or prestige purpose but also for mental and physical health of an individual. in Indian context, till recently not much interest has been devoted to understand the influence of sociological factors on the psychological well-being or of the sportsperson and non-sportsperson. As very large-scale socio-cultural and economical inequalities exist in India, many studies tried to understand the close relationship between sociological and psychological factors gains much importance and relevance. it is in this background that the present study was undertaken to probe the socio-psychological correlation between aggressive behaviours, Anxiety locus of control, will to win and emotional intelligence of sportsperson and non-sportsperson.
