Education is a process of human empowerment for the achievement of better and higher quality of life. It tells man how to think and how to make decisions. Training of a human mind is incomplete without Education. Education is an important social activity planned and shared by the parents and the society. Education is a process of learning to live the life of a community Education has been defined by different people in different ways. A search for knowledge cannot yield something meaningful if this relation with the existing knowledge has not been examined. A research study is never conducted in a vacuum. Hence an attempt was made, as far as possible, to find out what has already been done. A review of literature gives both thematic as well as methodological direction. Adolescence, usually characterized by the youthful exuberance as its most endearing hallmark is a transition period between childhood and adulthood.
