The human brain is frequently compared to computers in terms of data intake, data processing by the central processor, and data output. A computer is a bit-based paradigm of logical data processing (the basic unit of information in the binary number system). As the computer setup increases, the brain appears to grow hazy in the face of the computer's power and lightning speed. Figure 1 shows a comparison of brains and computers. Recognition of patterns As scientists learned more about both brains and computers, they understood that computers could never be as huge or as good as the brain. The brain can perform functions that the computer cannot. For example, if you went to a 20-year high school reunion and happened to run into Harry, now is the time to apologize.
