Musculoskeletal tissues are hard to heal if damaged by disease or trauma. If damaged, they cause pain and hinder regular movements of our bodies. Drug delivery systems that can be used for healing and regenerating these tissues need to be specialized to bear physiological loading on these tissues while helping in controlled release of drug or biomolecules for healing the tissue.
