The paper will begin with the origins of the sonnet as a theoretical introduction. For thus the historical background of the sonnet will be discussed to examine how the form and content of the sonnet developed and changed over time. The main part will contain an analysis of form and content of sonnet 130 and there will be an accentuation on the conception of love and beauty of this sonnet. The paper will also contain a conclusion where the results will be summarized.
