My Library series presents Raffi’s historical novel Samvel. Each book from
My Library series represents one of classical Armenian writers or poets’ best works. The series is intended for schoolchildren, students, adult readers and generally all those who are interested in Armenian literature.
The novel tells about the complex political events taking place in the second half of the 4th c., when the Armenian people, in between Persia and Byzantium, was struggling for its ethnic identity and country's independence. Aside from political disturbances, the novel describes the life of Armenians, their values, customs, intellectual and moral qualities, perhaps a little bit exaggerated at times. Raffi’s historical-philosophical axis in the novel is the concept of national unity.

«Իմ գրադարանը» մատենաշարի իւրաքանչիւր գրքում ներկայացուած են հայ դասական գրողների լաւագոյն գործերը: Մատենաշարը հասցէագրուած է դպրոցականներին, ուսանողներին, մեծահասակ ընթերցողներին եւ առհասարակ բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր սիրում են հայ գրականութիւնը:
Վէպը պատմում է 4-րդ դարի կէսի քաղաքական բարդ իրադարձութիւններին, երբ Պարսկաստանի եւ Բիւզանդիայի աքցանի մէջ առնուած հայ ժողովուրդը ձգտում էր հաստատել իր էթնիկական ինքնութիւնն ու պետական անկախութիւնը:
Գիրքը հասցէագրուած է ոչ միայն մեր դպրոցականներին, այլեւ աշխարհասփիւռ հայ պարմանիներին ու պարմանուհիներին, ինչպէս նաեւ մեծահասակ ընթերցողներին, բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր չեն կորցրել ետաքրքրութիւնը հայ բազմադարեան գրականութեան նկատմամբ:
