When Rayford Johnson, Jr., The Man of God, returns home for a funeral, he has no idea his life will be changed forever. He sees his high school sweetheart for the first time in 20 years and realizes he has never stopped loving her. He wages a war in the spirit realm that pits his soul against forces that tempt him to act in evil, vindictive ways. In the end, the lesson he knows God is trying to teach him has little to do with him and all to do with forgiveness.
