Like all of the stories in the Gnat & Corky Series, Will It is based on the spirit of a real kid. Will has Bardet-Biedl syndrome which causes retinal degeneration and may eventually render him blind. That does not define Will or prevent him from doing anything he dreams. His attitude and outlook on life are unstoppable.
We can all learn a lesson from Will It to face the world as we are, with a brave heart, bold spirit, and wicked sense of humor.
