"The Memoirs of Jacques Casanova de Seingalt" is an autobiography written by the Italian adventurer and author Jacques Casanova de Seingalt (1725-1798). Despite his reputation as a womanizer and libertine, Casanova is also portrayed as a highly intelligent and cultured individual, with a deep love of music and the arts. His memoirs provide a fascinating insight into life in eighteenth-century Europe, and are regarded as one of the great works of autobiographical literature.
