Dune Messiah
This segment is presented in a format resembling a dialogue, where an unidentified Fremen cleric questions Bronso of Ix, a historian facing execution due to his controversial portrayal of Paul Atreides, the Emperor of the Known Universe in the year 10,208.
Paul, known as the "Kwisatz Haderach," is a product of a prolonged breeding program by the Bene Gesserit sisterhood. His extraordinary mental and physical abilities, including prescience, were further enhanced by exposure to the spice on the desert planet Arrakis, also known as Dune.
Paul, revered as the messianic figure "Mahdi" by the native Fremen, rose to power with their fervent support, overthrowing the previous Emperor Shaddam Corrino and initiating a violent religious crusade, termed the "Jihad," resulting in the loss of countless lives.
