"e;Salvation for Dummies"e;? By this title I'm not calling anybody a dummy. That title "e;for Dummies"e; is another way of saying that the presentation of the contents of this book assumes the readers who have a limited understanding of the topic. The topic, of course, is God's plan for our eternal salvation. For many people the only exposure they have had to understanding the message about salvation, or the gospel message, is what they have heard in the few Sunday sermons when the preacher may have spoken on that subject. Or perhaps a person has had some childhood religious education, but they were too young to really care, or understand. There is so much more to be learned and in this book you will learn far more than you would ever learn from your pastor or priest because I will tell you the salvation message, not from church doctrines, but from Jesus' words, and that's a salvation message that the churches want to ignore. Perhaps you heard from a Sunday Sermons or Bible studies, something like, we will be saved if we; "e;believe in Jesus"e;, "e;trust Jesus"e;, "e;believe in your heart"e;, "e;go to the cross"e;, "e;say the sinner's prayer"e;, or "e;be baptized"e;, 'go to confession', "e;receive the church's sacraments"e;, "e;trust in the church"e;, etc. The Protestant Church's pastors may also point to John 3:16 as a miracle cure, or some of Paul's words, to prove their understanding of salvation. And the Catholic Churches will also point to some of the same verses and tell you that salvation is through the Church, which they say is the true body of Christ and the church has authority of salvation. I disagree with the Catholic Church and I disagree with the Protestant church. By setting aside religious lingo, and church doctrine, I will show you from Jesus' own words that they're both wrong. Jesus spoke a lot about salvation, and we have to examine all he said, and the proper understanding of John 3:16, which I will explain. Any salvation message, from Paul's Epistles, or from any Church leader or church doctrine must conform to Jesus' words, and if they don't they must all be discarded. For Jesus is the greater authority, speaking YHVH's words with YHVH's divine authority. We will start with the basics; Who is God? Who is Man? Who is Jesus? What is sin? Lessons for Adam and Eve, Worship, Jesus vs. Paul, etc. And then we are ready to understand Jesus' words in regard to salvation.
