 The book provides considerations, discussions and empirical research-based evidence about profes­sional identity in the digital age and contempo­rary society. It discusses a conceptual framework of pro­fessional identity construction based on the sociological perspective of Symbolic Interactionism, and examines theoretical and empirical topics on virtual profession­al identities of Millennials and Generation X, entangled and disentangled online interactions, construction of professional passion in digital times, adult self-regulat­ed learning, and relationship between profession, work, Self, and social media. It shares empirical and conceptual research-based findings of the forms of mediated narra­tives, including the effects of these practices on different social media audience.
