Beschreibung

Visiting the doctor is always a daunting task and it is especially intimidating for Friday, who is examined on a stage, cameras pointed at her from all angles, zoomed in and magnified on giant screens for the doctor's perusal. Every inch of her body is examined, prodded with medical instruments and gloved fingers, spread open with speculums and widened so that they can inspect her better.

~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~
She is waiting for the events of the day to begin and she can hear echoes of the presentation going on outside, loud due to the microphone used in order to allow everyone in the hall to listen, but still muffled in that sort of way loud noises can sometimes be when separated by a wall. The noise shakes the chair that she is sitting on, but isn't audible.
The door opens just as she has been lulled into a sense of safety and she looks up so quickly that she hits the back of her head to the wall with a loud thump.
"Ah, shit," she reaches around her head and rubs it. She feels silly when the person who had opened the door laughs at her.
"Are you alright?" he asks, humor thick in his voice.
"Peachy," she says, though the back of her head throbs a bit from the impact.
He walks up to her and tells her to tilt her head down. "Good thing you're surrounded by doctors, yeah?" he jokes, rubbing her head with his large hand, feeling for the bump that hasn't started forming yet.
"Yeah," she echoes, blushing at the innocent touch. He's being very kind to her now, which she knows will transform into something else entirely once they exit the room, sometimes, they put a professional veneer as they take her apart. Other times, professionalism is thrown out the door entirely.
"What's taking you so long, Jack?" a younger man in identical doctor's scrub outfit steps  into the room. "Aw man, did you get started already?" he asks and it takes her a moment to understand what he's asking, and then she promptly blushes at the implication, though the 'anh' noise that she lets out probably isn't doing the man any favors. From the newcomer's point of view, she knows what she looks like, what with the way she has tilted her head down at crotch-level and his fingers are curled in her hair.
Jack leaps back from her like he had been burned. "What? No. She bumped her head. I was just taking a look at it, that's all," he says.
"Sure you were," he leers. "You ready to come out, ma'am?" the newcomer turns to her and asks. "The doctor is ready to see you now."
Right. Of course. She nods. "Yeap, I'm all good," she says with a little too much cheer in her voice. In truth, she doesn't think she will ever get used to this part, where she is to pretend that it's all perfectly normal and she's just going into the room for a completely normal checkup.
She's not.
Unlike normal patients, her checkups are not done in a sterile room with only the doctor and an occasional nurse or two to make sure that the doctor has everything they need.
Her checkups are vastly different.
She had been fidgeting anxiously in the waiting room for the past half hour, torn between getting this over with as quickly as possible and running out through the front door so that she doesn't have to deal with this at all. Jason will understand. Probably.
It's odd, that a doctor's visit makes her more anxious than being taken apart by strangers on a train or being filled in a classroom full of students. It makes her more anxious than being tied up at the back of a truck with toys filling her holes.
