To have the Boston mob boss killed in her car was too much of a coincidence; she had to be involved with him in one way or another. Taking the next obvious step, he accessed the police report and that really set him back. The report said that the car was found parked outside their office and that some anonymous caller called it in from the deceased own phone. Then, when he read the second part of the report, the car had been reported stolen. There went his link. With nowhere to go and nothing to do when he got there, he went home. While he was taking a shower another sort of thinking came over him, this one was personal and had nothing to do with the FBI.
