Beschreibung

Paul said that the mystery which had been hidden for ages and generations was now revealed to his saints. He said that God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Col 1:26-27)

These words sound profound, spiritual, high and lofty. But few see it beyond some theoretical aspect of their Christianity. It can’t be felt or touched. It’s impersonal with seemingly no affect on their daily lives. We live in the weeds of appearances that hypnotize us to a condition that no longer exists for us.

Yet Not I But Christ is a series of articles that show the myriad of ways the Bible is knocking on our door to reveal this truth to us, but more importantly what it means to us in practical terms. It flies us to a higher altitude, above all the appearances to the contrary, to open our eyes to the riches of this mystery which is Christ living in us. When the truth becomes more than a saying, when it becomes real to us in our hearts that we live, yet it is not us living, but Christ living in us (Gal 2:20)—as us—then we live a life of total freedom where the yoke is easy and the burden is light.
