I'd never had an angel before, so it came as quite a shock when I felt something sitting on the edge of my bed in the middle of the night.
At first I thought I was having another sleep paralysis episode, but it wasn't a demon there, it was an angel.
Now I know why they call them angels.
Sabrina was a tall, stacked babe of no more than 19. She didn't have wings like the myths, but she was surrounded by a bright, glowing light that lit up the entire room.
My heart nearly stopped when I witnessed her beauty.
"Who...who are you?" I asked, my heart suddenly thumping in my chest. "You...you're not real, are you?"
She smiled so brightly that for a moment I thought it was daytime.
Was that a hint of color in her cheeks?
This wasn't real, was it? Surely just a dream. But I pinched myself and saw that it was, indeed, real.
"No, Sam, I'm as real as you are. I've been sent down to warn you."
My throat choked upon hearing her soft, lilting voice. It sounded like a choir of angels.
"Warn me?" I shook my head.
"Yeah. The man upstairs doesn't like what you're doing."
