For the time being the other stocks, and most of the bonds looked strong, but she wanted to keep her eyes on them just the same. While she was on-line, she looked over the quarterly earnings, staff levels, and the output and earning potentials of some of those companies she had earmarked for her liquidation sale, and this information further indicated to her that they were already in trouble. Yet, they were still handing out bonuses like nothing was wrong. By using the various company’s stock’s closing numbers, and the amount of actual stock she owned in each of them, she figured she could possibly end up with about fifty-seven billion dollars, give or take a few hundred million. The problem was that this figure was down nearly a half a billion from what it was a week ago. Then, using those same figures as a starting point, she calculated that most likely her own taxes would average out to be about a whopping eleven point eight billion dollars, and that was after taking the obvious deductions.
