THE ESSENCE OF HINDUISM, THE VEDIC CONCLUSIONS

In the Bhagavad Giitaa, Lord KRShNa reveals Himself to be God, the source of everything that be and that he is present in the heart of every living being as Paramaatmaa. He requests Arjuna (a jiiva spirit soul) to surrender to that Paramaatmaa, present within his own heart, to take shelter of Him, to always think and meditate on Him, to worship Him and to make sacrifices to him, to perform all activities of body, mind, words and soul as offerings of worship to Him, to bow down to Him, to engage in loving relationships with Him and to render loving and dedicated service to Him. When a jiiva soul does this, he is said to be in Yoga with God, KRShNa. All living entities (jiivaatmas) are in the same position as Arjuna. Every chapter of Bhagavad Giitaa is named Yoga. The basic, principal subject matter which is described in Bhagavad Giitaa is Yoga which means, "to link up jiivaatmaa present in this body with Paramaatmaa, KRShNa, who is also present within the heart of jiivaatmaa in this very same body". This is the message that KRShNa gives to Arjuna in Bhagavad Giita.

Ramasubramanian Viswanath represents the material body of the author. Rohininandanaswami is the name of Paramaatmaa who is the combined form of Raadhaa and KRShNa within the body. As you can see in the picture, the gopi, cowherd girl, offering worship to Raadhaa and KRShNa in the heart, is the jiivaatmaa. The jiivaatmaa is always engaged in worshipping the Paramaatmaa (her Lord and Master KRShNa with His Eternal consort Raadhaa) who constantly gives immense joy to jiivaatmaa.
