The Epistle of Clement belongs to the so called Apostolic Fathers, a collection of writings by Christian authors who lived in the first and second centuries AD. They were so named because of their close connection to the apostles of Jesus Christ and their followers.
The writings of the Apostolic Fathers provide a valuable insight into the beliefs, practices, and structure of the early Christian church, and are considered an important resource for understanding the development of Christian thought and theology.
The Epistle of Clement of Rome, also known as First Clement, is the first I present in this series. It is perhaps one of the oldest Christian writing outside the New Testament.
Reading such an early Christian document is a blessing that every believer should experience. This is why this edition is not meant for scholars, but the average Bible reader.
