Each story addresses one core value or life lesson but touches upon others as well. Children will easily relate to the characters and the issues or problems they face.
Every story comes with a few discussion questions to help facilitate important conversations and a list of vocabulary words which can be utilized to promote literacy. The book also includes a story directory which can serve as an easy reference tool, listing the issues and topics addressed in each story. A companion book, The Light Giver Stories Workbook: Activities and Lessons for Social Emotional Learning is also available. The workbook contains fun, easy-to-follow activities, discussions, and lessons to reinforce the topics in this book and help you raise kind, confident, and compassionate children.
